Cook, Chris (b. 1992, Brooklyn, New York) is a fine artist working across photography, painting, and mixed media. His monograph Black Lives Matter (2022) is held in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, the British Library, and Yale University. He documented the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020, producing a sustained body of work that stands as both historical record and artistic testimony. Cook received the AIM Fellowship at the Bronx Museum in 2020 and completed a residency at the Saltonstall Foundation in 2021. His work has been featured in The Washington Post and on ABC News.
